In the Fall of 2007 and the Spring of 2008, two therapy staff from the Fundacion Integra Clinic were flown to Rhode Island where they each spent a week visiting continuing the training that had taken place in Juarez. Patricio, a physical therapist, went on home visits, visited a school program and was able to view a large donation of equipment from a Rhode Island company that was heading to his clinic.
Paloma, a staff therapist, visited a school for children with disabilities and a clinic where she learned about creating a sensory room. Both staff left after the week with strategies for therapy and ideas for activities that would benefit their clients in Juarez.
